Sachuest (AKA Second) Beach and Third Beach
Sachuest Beach, locally known as Second Beach, is a south facing, mile long, family friendly beach with good surf and great sand.
There is a concession stand, bathrooms, changing area, showers, grills, picnic tables and shade structures located at the main building. Port-a-johns are located at the base of each pathway.
Surfboard rentals and lessons are available during the season as well as a Del’s Lemonade truck and a shower can be found at Surfer’s End (on the west end).

Third Beach, a beautiful, family friendly beach, faces east has less waves and overlooks Third Beach Harbor located near the mouth of the Sakonnet River. There are grills, picnic tables and a shade structures located near the boat ramp. Port-a-johns are located in the parking lots. Equipment rentals and a Del’s Lemonade cart can be found near the boat ramp (on the south end).
Hours of Operation:
The beach parking lots are open Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Monday of Labor Day weekend, seven days a week (weather permitting) from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, lifeguards are on duty until 6:00PM at Sachuest Beach.
